20x20 Marquee High Peak Tent Rental

How many guests can comfortably fit under a 20×20 tent?

A 20×20 high peak tent covers 400 square feet, and capacity depends on your layout. Seated dinner with round tables: 32–40 guests (four to five 60-inch round tables at 8 guests each). Rectangular banquet tables: up to 48 guests. Cocktail-style, standing: 45–60 guests. Theater-style rows with no tables: up to 60–80 guests. For a comfortable seated event, plan on 30–40 guests — which is why our 20×20 High Peak Tent package is built for parties up to 40.

Create a Beautiful Space for Your Celebration

Our 20×20 High Peak Tent is one of the most requested rentals for outdoor events throughout Baltimore, Towson, Pikesville, Owings Mills, Randallstown, Catonsville, Columbia, Ellicott City, White Marsh, Parkville, and the surrounding Maryland communities. With 400 square feet of covered space and a dramatic center peak, it strikes the balance most hosts are looking for: enough presence to serve as a real focal point, without overwhelming a backyard or smaller venue.

We regularly set this tent up for weddings, graduation parties, baby showers, birthday celebrations, family reunions, retirement parties, engagement parties, and corporate gatherings. Comfortably seating up to 40 guests, it works well across a range of layouts — the open peak design keeps airflow and sightlines clean, which matters more than people expect once tables, a buffet line, or a small dance floor come into play.

Layout comes down to how you're using the space. Four to five 60-inch round tables typically seat 32 to 40 guests and suit a seated dinner or reception well; rectangular banquet tables seat slightly more in the same footprint and tend to work better for casual, family-style events. If you're planning something with a mix of dining and mingling — a cocktail hour before a reception, for example — we can help you figure out the split before your date is booked.

These ranges vary by layout. Dinner-only seating generally falls toward the lower end, while cocktail-style or ceremony layouts may reach the higher end. Buffets, bars, dance floors, stages, and additional circulation space will reduce the available guest capacity.

Event Planning Tip

Reserve early during peak season (May–October). Measure your event space, plan for food service, and don't forget lighting for evening celebrations.
